Fried Jack Fruit “Chicken” Nuggets

  1. To 1 cup of unsweetened almond milk and 1 1/2 Tablespoons of vinegar. Wait 5 minutes. Alternatively use buttermilk
  2. After 5 minutes add 1 teaspoon no salt Cajun seasoning.
  3. Rinse the jack fruit under running water and remove any visible seeds.
  4. Marinate the jack fruit in the seasoned buttermilk for a minimum of 1 hour.
  5. Mix 1/2 cup of all purpose flour, 1/2 cup cornstarch and 1 teaspoon salt free Cajun seasoning.
  6. After 1 hour dip the marinated jack fruit in the flour mixture and set aside for 5 minutes.
  7. Heat the oil to 350F. Fry the jack fruit until golden brown on both sides.
  8. Serve with dipping sauce
